The Peony Festival is one of Downtown Oshawa's award-winning festivals! The event is open to all, often bringing in a mix of local community members, travelling tourists, and peony enthusiast. Peonies are the national flower of China, and carry tons of passion and following with them. The annual Peony Festival in Downtown Oshawa brings over 300 varieties of peonies, tended by city staff, the Oshawa Garden Club, and Peony Society.
Attendees are invited to explore the beautiful outdoor displays of peonies throughout the festival. Along the outdoor trail, there is live music, food vendors, and artisan booths. In addition, there is also a Children’s Arena right beside the botanical gardens where there are performances, remarks from the mayor, the judged peony competition, and traditional Chinese fashion show. This beautiful event brought to life by its many partners is one you will not want to miss.
